A easy to make, egg free chocolate cake.
Snacks Desserts & Cocktails Vegan Vegetarian Pareve / Dairy Free Shabbat

 Preheat to: 350 

Ingredients:

Amount Ingredient
2 1/4 cup flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons white vinegar
2 cups cold water

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Faranheit (180 degrees Celsius/Centigrade). Grease a lasagna-size pan or two round cake pans. Sprinkle flour and shake it around. Alternatively: put liners in 2 muffin pans for 24 cupcakes.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients.
  • In another bowl, put in the wet ingredients
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with a spoon or electric mixer.
  • Pour batter into the pan(s). Bake until a toothpick put into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool for 10 minutes.
  • If you made the smaller cakes, move them to a wire rack.
  • Optional: Dust with powder sugar.
