Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Faranheit (180 degrees Celsius/Centigrade). Grease a lasagna-size pan or two round cake pans. Sprinkle flour and shake it around. Alternatively: put liners in 2 muffin pans for 24 cupcakes.
In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients.
In another bowl, put in the wet ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with a spoon or electric mixer.
Pour batter into the pan(s). Bake until a toothpick put into the center comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes.
If you made the smaller cakes, move them to a wire rack.
Optional: Dust with powder sugar.
