February was a lively and eventful month at ICCJ.
From our first Friday Night “Beatles Shabbat” Dinner, Rabbi Hillel added a musical flare to services, that was extremely entertaining, and I could actually hear myself singing along with the tunes.
Once again, our ICCJ Catering Committee outdid themselves by preparing for, not only the Friday Night Dinner, but a special Kiddush Luncheon the following day, and ensured that every meal was a success. It’s clear that community spirit was at its best. Lara Traum and our ICCJ Choir’s performance, added a special touch to the Shabbat lunch, making the gathering even more meaningful.
The next day, Sunday morning, Men’s Club put together a wonderful World Wide Wrap in honor of Howard Tanzman z”l – a beautiful, touching tribute. Kudos to the Men’s Club for organizing and sharing this event with our Yedidya Academy children. A special shout out to Nina Greebler and Shari Zuber for their help with the set-up.
Then came our Tu Bishvat celebrations which included a beautiful Seder and falafel for all. Thank you Susi, Nina and Shari. Sunday, February 16, Sisterhood commemorated Jack Benny’s 131st Birthday with a Zoom event led by Shari Zuber. It was entertaining.
February was truly a month of connection, tradition and joy. Looking forward to what’s next…
