The ICCJ family regrets to inform you of the sudden passing of our beloved member,
Bernice Joan (“Bonnie”) Nankin, ז״ל
שינא באשא בת אברהם ומינא רחל ז״ל
She was 84 years old.
Bonnie was predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley ז״ל and their daughter Lori Helaine ז״ל.
Mourning her are her son Eddie Nankin (Dawn), grandchildren Stephanie and Zachary, sister Ilene Schneider (Sydney ז״ל), nieces Sarah Cohen and Abby (Alex) Engel, nephew Darren (Sara) Schneider, many loving relatives, and many loving friends.
A graveside funeral will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, September 17 at 2:00 pm at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Road, Elmont, NY 11003.
Shiva will be observed immediately after the funeral at Bonnie’s residence: 211-40 18th Ave, Apt 6C, Bayside, NY 11360, with Mincha/Ma’ariv services at 5:30 pm. (Please use the intercom to gain entry.)
The remainder of the Shiva will be observed in Maryland.
Those wishing to donate to tzedaka in Bonnie’s memory are asked to make contributions to Hadassah: the Women’s Zionist Organization of America or to her shul, ICCJ, which truly was always in her heart!
